Is a Masked Aadhaar legally valid?
Yes. The UIDAI and RBI recognize Masked Aadhaar as a valid proof of identity and address. Service providers cannot deny services solely because you provided a masked version, unless they are specifically licensed to perform e-KYC.
Can the black box be removed to see the numbers?
No. GoPDFGo flattens the image. The pixels containing the numbers are permanently replaced with black pixels. There is no hidden layer or 'undo' data in the downloaded file.
Is it safe to upload my Aadhaar here?
Absolutely. We cannot stress this enough: You are NOT uploading it. The file opens in your browser, gets edited by your browser, and saves to your computer. It never touches our servers.
What part of the Aadhaar should I mask?
